You're Worth It!
I've been awake since 4:57, because I fell asleep in Luke's room and he tends to snore when his nose is stuffy. I could have gone back to sleep, but I've stayed awake. I like to revel in the silence, and take time to read. I just read a post written by Ellen Stumbo that was written for parents who feel wrecked. I've been there for the last 8 years (to one degree or another.) Having a child with high/special needs is the most difficult and most rewarding thing I've ever done. Yep. More difficult than marriage, and that's saying something. In the midst of all the years of therapy, doctors visits, interventions, etc., I've often put my needs on the back burner... sometimes denying the needs even exist in order to cope with the thought that they'd never be met. Ellen's beautiful take on this issue has reminded me that... I'm worth it. I MUST take care of my needs so I can meet the needs of my kiddo with grace and love. I pray that God would encourage all of my friends who may be in the same boat. You're worth it too! Here's a link to the post:

It's February
I can't believe tomorrow is February 1, 2016! God has certainly brought us through some challenges these last few months. Love my boy and that he is making such strides at school. Sleep tight my sweet little one, and know that your are loved unconditionally and treasured unequivocally.

Hello Again...
Well, hello again! I've neglected this blog for too long. A few members of my family still haven't joined Facebook so I've decided that I will be posting updates at least once a week here.
