Standing!

Something wonderful happened when I went to Luke's daycare this morning. I was talking to Sue and Luke pulled himself up to a standing position on a "Little Tikes" picnic bench! I said "Oh my gosh, look at Luke!", and Sue quickly asked for her camera. We missed taking a picture that time, but I'm sure he'll do it again and we'll get it on film.

A funny thing happened yesterday after Luke's lunch. He was crawling around on the floor in the living room and I noticed he had what looked like a stain on the back of his creeper. I pressed down on the stain and realized that it was poop on the other side of the fabric! Thank goodness I remembered we were out of wipes in the nursery, so I ran and got the refill bag in the bedroom. I promptly took him in to his changing table and was amazed at the volume of poop he produced at one time. (Oh, by the way, his poop is really sticky and greenish brown.) I know, tmi! I got it under my fingernail as I wiped his tiny bottom and I had to keep telling Luke "no" as he tried to turn over time and time again. We finally got all cleaned up and I put in a load of laundry. Thank God for washing machines.

Comments and stuff

Feel free to leave comments on the blog. I check them everyday in the hopes that someone will comment.

It's Tuesday and I feel like all I've done today is goof off on the computer. Well, Luke and I did take a stroller ride to Sue's house this morning. He sat up like a big boy in his stroller for the first time. (Usually we have him in his infant seat fitted on the stroller frame). O.k., now I've really got to get some stuff done. Hooray for Tuesdays!

I'm not sure why I didn't post these earlier; they're adorable!

Giggles

Hello

Luke likes to be silly after his naps!

This is the first time I saw Luke rooting through his toy basket for the perfect toy. He loves to be underneath his jumperoo.

Yesterday he spent about half an hour playing with a water bottle. Notice all the toys on the floor around him. :0)
